The legend of Sean Misfud's "Wild Willy"
(1-30-2012) SYLVANIA WATERS, NSW – Cast away into a corner with the used bits and pieces of long ago power…
The baddest '41 Willys to grace the southern hemisphere and one of the BADDEST '41 Willys in the whole wide world now sits in a corner of a factory up on his pro jacks with bits and pieces being scavenged for this and that or to be loaned to a fellow racer to help them try to be what he once was.
The record for the quickest roots doorslammer in Australia was held for years by this intimidating race car, but now he sits forlornly wondering what is in store for him next. His win at the last 16 car field of Top Doorslammers is now but a memory.
Is his fate to be covered up with a car cover and forgotte... [Read More]

"I know that we have a lot of friends that we race with, and a lot of fans that follow us, but the amount of well wishes is just astounding. Dad has graduated from the walker to a cane, and is continuing with physical therapy, he has a long road ahead of him to get back to 100%, but if you know Dean Goforth you know that he will do it. First test of season gets five-time champ Coughlin back up to speed
(1-26-2012) DELAWARE, OH – hard to imagine a drag racer with five world championships and a whopping 67 national event victories being anything but comfortable in a racecar, yet 41-year-old Jeg Coughlin Jr. admitted to being a little edgy at the start of the test session at Palm Beach International Raceway.

I told Dad (Hall of Famer Jeg Coughlin Sr.) that I must have had a million questions I needed answered before we got started. Fortunately everything went great. That number probably went down to four after the first pass."
