» Jeg Coughlin, Jr. Update
First test of season gets five-time champ Coughlin back up to speed

(1-26-2012) DELAWARE, OH – hard to imagine a drag racer with five world championships and a whopping 67 national event victories being anything but comfortable in a racecar, yet 41-year-old Jeg Coughlin Jr. admitted to being a little edgy at the start of the test session at Palm Beach International Raceway.

"I had a nervous couple of days leading into this deal," Coughlin said. "There was so much going on in my head. I told Dad (Hall of Famer Jeg Coughlin Sr.) that I must have had a million questions I needed answered before we got started. Fortunately everything went great. That number probably went down to four after the first pass."

Although Coughlin successfully raced a variety of Sportsma... [Read More]

Enders all smiles after lengthy and successful test session in Florida

(1-23-2012) BRADENTON, FL – If last week's test at Bradenton Motorsports Park is any indication, Erica Enders could be in for a terrific Pro Stock season in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.

Enders and her Cagnazzi Racing team completed a successful week of testing last Friday, with Enders' Chevrolet posting solid numbers while maintaining consistency, too. Her quickest time was in the 6.48-second range, topping all but one of the Pro Stock cars testing at Bradenton.

After a few pre-season test sessions with the Black Cat, Frank took a trip in early May 2011 to the Throw Down at T-Town in Oklahoma with fellow racer, Chris Russo. The pair loaded up the CCI Motorsports trailer and motor home with provisions for the 23-hour trip to run in the Battle of the Belts. Once they arrived at the track, Frank realized that the intake manifold was not machined properly and they wouldn't be able to run the car, so they focused their attention on getting Chris's new car dialed in, leaving the weekend with a not-too-...
