(5-23-2013) WILLOWBANK, QLD – With 15 entrants and a tense championship battle looming, the Top Doorslammer category at Willowbank Raceway’s FUCHS Winternationals is shaping up to be a ‘must-watch’ for the estimated 40,000 spectators expected over the event’s four days (7-10 June).
The top three in the national points share 12 titles between them, one long-time friendship, and one simmering on-track rivalry that has reached boiling point during the current season.
Victorian Peter Kapiris leads the trio with 349 points, ahead of West Australia’s reigning five-time champion John Zappia (252 points) and six-time champion Victor Bray (251) of Kallangur, Queensland.

(5-22-2013) CAYUGA, ON – Pro Modified driver Rocky Di Lecce had a perfect weekend during the Victoria Day Weekend Challenge on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park, winning not only the scheduled Pro Modified Racing Association race, but capturing a postponed event from a week earlier that was completed at Cayuga.
"The car ran perfect today," said Di Lecce, of Mississauga, Ontario, after the race.

(5-22-2013) WILLOWBANK, QLD – Entries have now closed for the largest drag racing event held outside of the United States – the FUCHS Winternationals, held at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway across the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (Friday 7 June to Monday 10 June).
A total of 476 racers have signed up for the event which is expected to host up to 40,000 spectators over its four days, with competitors travelling from across the country as well as from New Zealand and the United States to take part.

(5-21-2013) GRAND BEND, ON – The first of the four event series for the National Drag Racing Association (NDRA) wound up at Grand Bend Motorplex’s “Spring Blowout” presented by RPM Magazine and Lucas Oil on Sunday with a successful start for 2013.
Saturday’s qualifying resulted in some satisfying numbers for both the NDRA Alcohol Funny Cars presented by Ohsweken Speedway and Pro Doorslammers. (5-20-2013) TOPEKA, KS – 25th annual NHRA Kansas Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka saw some of the smoothest runs that the Summit Racing Pro Stock duo of Greg Anderson and Jason Line have seen all year, but the Minnesota-bred, Mooresville, N.C.-transplanted pair didn't achieve the results that they were aiming for at the eighth of 24 events on NHRA's Mello Yello Drag Racing Series tour.
