Flashback: After qualifying in the number one spot for the ANDRA East Coast Nationals at Western Sydney International Dragway with a 6.086 237.50 run on Saturday, John Zappia started Sunday's eliminations with a 6.017 239.78 blast against Sean Mifsud in the first round. In the second round a 6.020 240.29 took care of Steve Stanic. For the final against Gary Phillips John had the "Zap's Rat" set on kill. Phillips got out first but John wasn't going to be denied. He beat Phillips' 6.098 with a stellar 5.967 241.97 to become the first to pilot a Top Doorslammer into the five second zone.
